Strategic Leisure, one of the Country’s foremost sport and leisure consultancy companies, has been acquired by Scott Wilson plc. Scott Wilson provides a range of integrated planning, management, environmental and engineering services in the built and natural environments.

Strategic Leisure specialises in the planning, development, management and evaluation of sport, leisure and cultural facilities, services and events. Strategic Leisure is well known for its work in the public sector having worked on behalf of over half of UK local authorities. It also has an enviable client list in other sectors including Government Departments and Agencies, Professional Sports Clubs, National Governing Bodies, Charities and ‘blue-chip’ commercial leisure clients. This acquisition will enable Strategic Leisure’s clients to access a far broader range of services in a complete consultancy package. It will also enable Strategic Leisure services to be accessible internationally through Scott Wilson’s worldwide network of offices.

Strategic Leisure has been an independent Company since the current Chief Executive, Mark Sutcliffe completed a management buy-out in 1998. Under the new arrangements Strategic Leisure will retain its brand name and will be a business division within Scott Wilson.
