Strategic Leisure was first founded in 1988 and is one of the most established specialist sport and leisure consultancy practices in the UK, with over 20 years' experience of working in the leisure industry in the voluntary, public and commercial sectors, in the UK and internationally.

Since its inception Strategic Leisure has delivered steady and consistent success and growth and this has enabled the company to become one of the most successful leisure consultancies in the UK, with a reputation for providing innovative solutions and excellent standards of service.

In recent years, while consolidating a position as a market leader in the sport and leisure industry in the UK, the company has added an international dimension by securing a number of significant contracts in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Far East.

After a long period of jealously guarded independence, Strategic Leisure was acquired by the Scott Wilson Group in 2008. The former owners and senior Directors Mark Sutcliffe and Rachel Fowler agreed to sell Strategic Leisure to Scott Wilson and to stay with the Company to deliver further growth and service development taking advantage of the many synergies that exist between the two organisations.
