Public Consultation Survey of Open Spaces in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Purpose of this survey: A major issue in the current review of the County Development Plan is the provision of open space and amenities. In order to deal strategically with open space provision, we must have an accurate understanding of the open space resource in existing communities, how well the needs of communities are being met and identify any changes needed to improve access to higher quality open spaces. On completion of the study in late 2009, the public will be able to access comprehensive information about parks, open spaces and recreational facilities in their area on the Council’s website. We are keen to engage with as many residents, workers, businesses, NGO’s and visitors to the County, as possible, in the preparation of auditing and Strategy. We would appreciate your help as it should prove invaluable to the quality and usefulness of the emerging Open Spaces Strategy.
